Jim Ross Blog: WWE Scouting, Brock Lesnar’s Performance, Tours & More

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has published a new blog entry on JrsBarBq.com. Here are some highlights.
WWE scouting: WWE will continue to look to colleges, the NFL, etc for world class athletes who have TV friendly personalities and the aptitude for sports entertainment. College athletes will come from wrestling, football, basketball, etc…no sport will be not considered if all the previously listed criteria is in place. For example, I’m planning on attending an upcoming major, Strongman competition just to see if there may be one individual who might have the youth, strength, look and personality for WWE to consider as a potential developmental talent.
For novice athletes who aspire to join WWE, I suggest that you attend a credible wrestling school and obtain proper training. After one gets proper training, do all you can to work as many indy dates as possible, get your body of work in place and then make inroads to WWE Development with a DVD of some of your bouts and of you doing succinct promos.
Would a beginner walk into a NFL training camp and expect a tryout? Obviously, no.
WWE tours: The current WWE International tour is doing sellout or near capacity business nightly which is another statement of the global growth and the massive, media footprint that WWE has established over the years and that continues to grow. I’m of the belief that one of the reasons for success is that WWE tours these areas no more than twice annually. Some international markets are better served once a year while others are still developing their TV following and will be added to the schedule in the future.
Tonight’s UFC event: Big night for UFC tonight in San Jose on Fox on what I think will be a really fun night of fights. I like @BensonHenderson and his personal ‘story’ plus the fact that he always has action filled fights. Picking Daniel Cromier, the former OSU Cowboy, to beat Frank Mir in a heavyweight fight. I’d expect a hot, live crowd because of the ‘local’ influence of many of the fighters on the card and that crowd passion always, or it should, resonate at home.
Brock Lesnar’s performance: Watched Brock Lesnar’s performance on Raw Monday again on DVR and it always amazes me how naturally animalistic Lesnar is and what an amazing athlete that he is. Lesnar got to the ‘first team’ quicker and the most effectively of any one that I can recall that we signed back in my era in talent relations. No one we ever signed was more athletically gifted than the former NCAA and UFC heavyweight champion. No one. Brock was making amazing money in WWE quicker than any of his predecessors or any one since.
@BrockLesnar was the best rookie that I recall seeing in WWE.

Jim Ross Blog: Attending CAC Event, Edge, New Performance Center

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has published a new blog entry on JrsBarBq.com. Here are some highlights.
Attending CAC event: Great time at the 48th Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion this week in Las Vegas. It wasn’t a money making trip as my lovely wife attended and did her part to contribute to the economy of Vegas by doing two days worth of shopping. Seriously, we both had a wonderful time seeing so many old friends and fans that we have gotten to know over the years.
CAC is a great non profit organization that does many amazing, charitable things for those in need from within the wrestling biz. CAC doesn’t look for publicity as many of their benevolent acts would bring embarrassment to many of the recipients. But, take it from me, CAC helps lots of people that you know or have heard of over the years and I’m of the mindset that more people, fans and wrestlers alike, should join the organization. For more info check out the CAC website at http://www.caulifloweralleyclub.org.
Presenting Edge with an Award: I had the pleasure of presenting Adam Copeland AKA Edge the Male Wrestler Award from CAC in a surprise presentation. Only three people knew of this matter as it was a total surprise to Edge. I followed such powerful and serious presentations as the DDP/Jake the Snake Roberts duo and the late, Paul Bearer/Percy Pringle presentation so I attempted to ad lib my way into a more light hearted mood in what felt like a somber room and rightfully so at that particular time of the evening.
New performance center: The announcement earlier this week of the construction and soon to be opened for business WWE Performance Center in Orlando is HUGE news for the long term future and success of WWE and is a personal dream come true for me. Back in the mid 90′s when we started the developmental system in such markets as Louisville, Memphis, Cincinnati, and Los Angeles, I always wanted to someday have a NFL-like facility where athletes could be trained in all facets of the business. To successfully recruit world class, Division 1 like college athletes, we needed to have a facility that would fit every need and compete with the facilities that many of these high level athletes were accustomed to frequenting.

Jim Ross Needs Ideas, Fandango Theme Update, HBK Driving at Speedway

- WWE published an article about the craze for Fandango’s theme.
- As noted earlier, Jim Ross is working on the new WWE Mid South Wrestling DVD. Ross is asking fans for their ideas for the DVD on his Twitter @JRsBBQ.

More on Why Punk Was Kept Off RAW, JR Comments on Cole, Big E

- Jim Ross gave props to Michael Cole via Twitter:

“Most don’t realize how valuable @MichaelCole is to #wwe. Helps produce @JerryLawler & keeps Texan @JCLayfield in line. Full time #Raw trio?”

- Big E Langston will debut his own theme song on tonight’s episode of WWE Main Event as he faces Zack Ryder.

- As noted before, CM Punk was kept off Monday’s RAW to sell The Undertaker’s win at WrestleMania 29. Another reason WWE officials kept him off RAW is because they didn’t want him to receive a massive pop from the post-WrestleMania crowd that was at Monday’s show. At one point, there were plans for Punk to come out and cut a promo but they nixed it.

HHH & Stephanie Comment on WM Week, JR Comments on DVD Work, More

“Just called, alone, Duggan-DiBiase Tuxedo in a cage match w/ coal miner glove on a pole, loser leaves Houston. Whew! Mid South DVD in Sept.”

- Triple H and Stephanie McMahon thanked fans for WrestleMania 29 week. They tweeted on Tuesday:

Stephanie: “What an incredible #WrestleMania week! None of it would be possible with out all of you. Thank you for making WWE a part of your lives.”

Jim Ross Talks About WM29 Weather, Rock’s Energy, Sammartino, Jericho & More

Joe Roderick from Grand Slam Sports interviewed WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross. Here are some highlights from the interview.
His first thought over learning the weather for Wrestlemania weekend: “My initial thought was to pack a jacket. That hasn’t changed. I looked at the long-term weather, and it looks like we’re going to get a break in the end. It’s going to be chilly, but it’s not going to be raining. It’s not going to be snowing. It’s going to be an adventure, which is great for fans like me. The stadium is great. [It's a] beautiful stadium. It’s going to be the home of the Superbowl next year. I’m excited about it. I think it’ll be a unique opportunity for those attending. Apparently the weather hasn’t driven anyone away because it’s sold out.”
If the wrestlers have expressed concern over the weather: “I think that they’re so engaged and wrapped up in the process that that probably won’t be discussed until Sunday. It’s game time. You go play and have fun, and entertain the audience. No one’s expressed any serious concerns. I can tell you that wrestlers have a different problem wrestling in the hot sun because the canvas gets so hot; you don’t want to lay on it long. Which is not the goal anyway, quite frankly. I think we’ll be alright. I think everybody will be good.”
Looking back from his 20th anniversary with WWE, if he thought Wrestlemania would be the spectacle it is today: “No. It’s just become an amazing attraction. It’s the one wrestling event that displeased fans will buy on pay per view one time a year. This is the one event that some people will invest in because its got the best of everything. It’s just amazing what we’ve been able to build with that brand. My first on, as you said 20 years ago, 1993, was outdoors in the sunshine at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. It’s been quite the maturation of going through stadiums. I think that’s where we’ll end Wrestlemania, will be permanently in a stadium somewhere until death do us part.”
If it’ll work having the same main event two years in a row: “I think so. It did affect the ticket sales. We’ll see how it affects the pay per view buys. I think that the most recent estimate is 1.3 million pay per view buys, globally for the event. I don’t think it’s going to hurt. Long time fans remember return matches and there’s a story there with Rock and Cena. It’s been well told for over a year. Cena’s looking for, in his own words, retribution. So, I don’t think it’s going to affect the show at all. I think it’s going to be just fine. You got two major stars and Rock’s bring a lot of movie fans to the pay per view table that may not be big time WWE fans, but they’re fans of his movies. I’m intrigued by it. It’s going to be very interesting. The challenge is, fans will follow everything that precedes them. They have to entertain an audience and reengage an audience that’s been sitting in those seats for approximately four hours. They have their work cut out for them to close the show on Sunday.”
The Rock’s energy and work ethic: “It’s amazing, isn’t it? I follow him on Twitter, and he’s up at four o clock working out. And he’s on his crazy diets. He’s a machine. I signed him back in the nineties and I was amazed by his athleticism, but the most important quality he had was his work ethic and his drive. He just was hell bent on being something special. At that time it was to be the biggest star the wrestling business had ever seen. And then he got the opportunity to be in the film business, and he had the number one movie in the world this past weekend, the GI Joe movie. He’s extraordinary. He’s just has a work ethic that’s otherworldly, that’s the best way I can put it. He’s just a different breed of cat.”
If it seems Cena has been teasing a heel turn: “It seems that way. Last night, I was going into the show thinking that Rock won last year, so Cena will automatically win this year to even their big match rivalry at one apiece. But after last night, I’m not so sure that’s going to happen. I was intrigued that Cena’s promo was a little bit edgy. I thought, is that just the character, the persona, being what it’s cast to be, or is it the human being processing what I said earlier? We have to follow everything. We have to close the show. It’s game day for us. So I don’t know. It’s provocative to me because I try to stay away from all the creative stuff. I don’t want to know what’s going to happen. I don’t have any desire to know the end of the movie. I want to see it unfold. So, I’m somewhat intrigued by the whole process, especially after last night’s RAW.”
How many times a day he’s asked on Twitter if Cena’s going to turn heel: “I can’t count [laughter]. I have a lot of standard questions on Twitter. It’s quite the adventure. The Twitterverse is a very unique world we live in, social media wise. That’s certainly one of the most prominent ones [questions]. What I don’t understand is this. You already have half the audience who boo him. They’re the same ones that want him to be a bad guy. But they’re already booing him. What do you want? You want him to be a bad guy so now what? You can cheer him? I don’t get it sometimes. It’s a confounding conundrum, to say the least, the demographic of WWE and their male fan base that like to boo John Cena. An old promoter told me one time, “As long as there’s a rear end every 18 inches, it doesn’t matter.” They’re a ticket buyer, and they’ve paid there way in so it doesn’t matter.”
The way Paul Bearer’s death has been used in the buildup to Undertaker vs. Punk: “I thought the end to the program last night was very controversial. People that are really into the inner workings of the business, by and large, loved it. Those that are casual fans and still believe that pro wrestling is real, and the man on the moon, the moon walk was fake, they didn’t like it. I can tell you from knowing Bill Moody, aka Paul Bearer, for 20 years, that he is in heaven loving it. He would have loved it because it’s keeping his character, his persona, in a prominent role going into the biggest event of the year; in what arguably could be the Undertaker’s last match. I don’t know how many more Wrestlemania’s the Undertaker believes he has in him. I think it’s safe to say that he has wrestled more main events at Wrestlemania than the Undertaker has left. I thought it was controversial, but it seems like controversy, in this day and time, is profitable more often than not.”
What kind of shape the Undertaker is currently in: “Well, he’s in great shape, as good as it can be. He’s just like an old baseball pitcher that used to throw heat, and now his throw’s chilling. The bottom line is he still gets people out and he still is able to help you get a “W.” I think that’s where we are with the Undertaker. His body is worn and he’s had tears and surgeries. Still mentally tough, physically tough, and still dedicated to his profession. I know that he’s never going to compromise his body of work to have one more payday. So I know we’ll see him have a great match on Sunday against CM Punk, who’s another phenomenal performer. But he works through the pain. Not many guys I know would do what he’s doing right now, but he loves it that much. It’s not a need for cash. It’s not a need for he needs one more payday. He’s got all the money he needs. He loves what he does, and as long as he can keep the quality of his work up he’s going to continue to do it.”
If there is a match on the card that he thinks can steal the show, despite not being a main event: “This kid Fandango is a lightening rod. People either hate him, which is kind of ironic again because he’s cast as a villain, so you’re supposed to hate him, but then some will overanalyze that and say well yeah, but it’s the wrong kind of hate. It’s the go away hate. But they haven’t seen the kid build a bill yet. I have, down in our training area, very gifted young athlete. He’s kind of a Gorgeous George like character. I remember reading Lou Thesz’s book, called Hooker, ironically enough, and Lou was never real high on Gorgeous George’s persona, but Lou respected Gorgeous George as a real wrestler. I think the fans just haven’t got a chance to see Fandango yet and I can tell you that Chris Jericho will do all he can to steal the show. I’ve kind of had my eye on that match for those reasons. I think it may be a sleeper.”
Chris Jericho: “He’s very very skilled, very talented in a lot of areas. Hell, he almost won Dancing With The Stars. He’s got a rock band. He’s got a television show on Syfy. The guy’s multi-talented. He’s very passionate about being good. Not average, not okay, but being really good, and I think he’ll push Fandango, whose real name is Johnny Curtis, to the max on Sunday. It should be a lot of fun.”
Bruno Sammartino: “I tell ya, if all the guys in the Hall of Fame were sitting at a table, they would all leave the head of the table vacant until Bruno got there. He dominated a wrestling territory, and the fans in St. Louis can identify with Sam Muchnick’s amazing run as a promoter there, week after week, month after month, year after year, and Bruno was the champion for one run for eight years. So his act in the market in New York City was amazing. He sold out Madison Square Garden 188 times, and he sold it out again this Saturday. A fitting honor, and I never thought it would happen. I’m very very happily surprised that it is.”
If there is a particular speech he is looking forward to hearing this Saturday: “Oh man. That whole world changes once you get up there. I had a speech written for 2007, and I completely went off script and just talked from my heart, and I think a lot of will do that. I think Mick Foley will give a very impassioned speech because he was an overachieving, average high school athlete, who grew up in Long Island. His dad was an athletic director. Mick used to hitch hike to the Garden from Long Island, which is not easy, and go to the wrestling shows there. I think Mick’s will be very very entertaining. I think Bruno’s will be very poignant, because when you hear Bruno’s story of hiding out in the mountains as a kid, hiding from the Nazis, and all these things as his challenges growing up and almost dying, all the crimes that were perpetrated on his family and his village in Italy, World War II. I think it’s going to be very poignant. The Bruno chants will be loud and long on Saturday night, without question.”
If he’ll be involved at Wrestlemania on Sunday: “Well, I don’t know. I’m not being evasive. I don’t have an assignment as of right now. I’m kind of like the Mad Hungarian, Al Hrabosky. I’m in the bullpen, going through my crazy mannerisms, and I’m ready to come in and get somebody out if you need it. If I’m needed, I’m there. If not, I’ll enjoy the view from wherever I am. I’m not being evasive. I’m not being cute. I don’t know. I’m always ready to roll if they need me, and last year I got an assignment sort of late. Thanks to Vince McMahon I was called out of the pen to call the Undertaker and Triple H match. I’m hoping something along those lines happens again. If so, then I’ll have a blast.”

Jim Ross Blogs on Monday's Raw and Top Matches for WrestleMania 29

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with a new blog on jrsbarbq.com, where he talked about the three top WrestleMania 29 matches and Monday's RAW:

- Thought that the final segment of Raw involving Taker and Punk was controversial and dramatic and it made me want to see the match between the two even more. I can certainly see where some viewers were uncomfortable with the presentation but perhaps that was the intent. Mark my words, @CMPunk vs. Undertaker will be tougher than a $2 steak to follow.

- The hay is in the barn for Rock vs. Cena. It;'s been over a year since this rivalry started and Sunday is the time for the talking to end and the show closer to deliver. Following everything on the card and attempting to engage the audience who has been at the stadium for hours is daunting but that comes with the territory. I have every belief that the two men that I signed to WWE contracts will rise to the occasion.

- Thought the addition of HBK in HHH's corner vs. Brock Lesnar was a timely touch and that Paul Heyman was excellent on the mic representing his client. Slobber Knocker time for the Cerebral Assassin and the former WWE and UFC champion without question. This one won't be a Brisco vs. Funk catch as catch can masterpiece but it will be car crash-like. I see some sweet chin music in @HeymanHustle future in
Jersey. Just saying.

Graphic Photo of Del Rio's Back, Names Interviewed for WWE's Foley DVD

- WWEDVDNews.com reports that the following people were interviewed for the Mick Foley DVD that comes out on April 16th: Foley's childhood friend Jim Gray, friend John Imbriani, Dominic Denucci, Shane Douglas, Michael Hayes, CM Punk, Vader, Terry Funk, Paul Heyman, Jim Ross, Joey Styles, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, William Regal, Big Show, ReganBooks founder Judith Regan, The Miz, The Rock and Foley's daughter.

- After the beating from Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter on last night's RAW, Alberto Del Rio posted the following photo of the marks on his back:

"Enjoy this moment @RealJackSwagger @WWEZeb because you two made a mistake, I'm still on my feet, and i will break you both in pieces. Every mark on my body will be a broken bone for you. So start counting #PERROS"

Jim Ross Predicts WrestleMania 29 Will Do Over 1Million Pay-Per-View Buys

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has published a new blog on JrsBarBq.com. Here are some highlights.

WWE Axxess: My only appearance at AXXESS will be Saturday morning 8-10 at the Legends Booth.

Tonight's Raw: Hopefully, the broadcast starts off hot and engages the live audience early so as to sustain momentum and build upon it throughout the three hour broadcast.

Obviously, what ever closes the show needs to leave fans talking and create some "water cooler talk."

WWE's live event business: WWE has really been on a roll in recent weeks in their live event business with multiple shows selling out. I hear big plans are on the drawing board to make these live event experiences even more memorable which will start sometime after WrestleMania.

WrestleMania 29: I'm predicting that WM29 will be the most lucrative event ever produced by WWE from a live gate standpoint, I'm guessing the live gate will be approximately $12M, and over 1M PPV buys.

On
Arnold inducting Bruno: Just saw on Twitter that Arnold Schwarzenegger @Schwarzenegger will be inducting Bruno Sammartino at the WWE HOF inductions at Madison Square Garden on April 6 which is sold completely out. I couldn't get a ticket for a family member if I had too as this one of the hottest tickets ever. Great 'get' by WWE and a fitting inductor for the great @SammartinoBruno.

WWE Scouting: Gerald Brisco scouted the NCAA Wrestling Nationals over the weekend and has some intriguing prospects interested in WWE. We feel that next year will be a banner year with many of these recruits because several have another year of eligibility remaining. The last thing that we would do is encourage a kid to leave school and not finish their commitment to their team and to cease their efforts to earn a college degree. Plan B is imperative because most prospects will not make it as it has been demonstrated over the years. It's the same way in the NFL or on Broadway

'The Call' WWE Studios Most Successful Film, Jim Ross Hypes RAW, Would Val Venis Return to WWE?

- Jim Ross tweeted the following to hype Monday's RAW with The Rock and John Cena:

"I'm hearing tensions are building re: @TheRock vs @JohnCena & they'll both be on #WWE #Raw Monday night.
USA network 8/7 central..LIVE!"

- Former WWE star Val Venis was asked on Twitter if he would quit smoking marijuana to return to WWE. He replied:

"Nope, WWE would have to stop with the stupid testing and fines for THC before I would ever even consider working with them again."

- WWE Studios' The Call will likely bring in another $9 million at the box office this week. So far it is the most successful movie WWE has done.

Jim Ross Blogs on Thursday's WWE NXT Tapings, Monday's RAW with Rock and Cena, More

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with a new blog on jrsbarbq.com. Here are some highlights:

- We had one of our best nights of TV production ever at NXT on Thursday while taping five, one hour broadcasts of NXT. The marathon took less than four hours which is a credit to all involved on the production and organizational side notwithstanding the talents themselves.

- @BigELangston had an impressive night and I look for 'E' to have a memorable 2013 in WWE. Hugely strong, highly intelligent, athletic with good feet, Big E simply needs experience to become what WWE needs from him and that is to be a break through star ala The Shield.

- Good work at the announce desk by Tony Dawson, Tom Phillips, William Regal and Brad Maddox. Maddox could evolve to be very good in the color commentator role as he has a natural gift of gab, good timing and is a bright kid. I always said that he reminded me of the late, Eddie Gilbert while watching Maddox in the ring down in talent development. @MichaelCole and I enjoy working with the young broadcasters who are getting plenty of reps in NXT.

- WWE has hired a new, strength and conditioning coach which is a brilliant move for the long term development of every talent in the system.

- HUGE RAW Monday in Philly headlined by both @TheRock and @JohnCena in the house live. The redemption vs. legacy tag lines are all well and good and while being accurate never discount the fact that both men are hugely competitive and accustomed to being 'the man.' They are Alpha Males of which is always interesting to observe. I've often wondered how Rock and Cena would have co-existed during parts of the Attitude Era especially when one throws in an element like @steveaustinBSR. It would have made for an interesting locker room. These two men travel in different circles and have never been in the WWE grind long enough together to build the unique and often times unspoken bond that many performers have. Call me naive if you choose but I see two, strong willed men who will try to show up the other on April 7 when finesse inside the ring ropes won't be acceptable to them or the fans.

Several Wrestling Personalities Comment on Last Night's Loaded WWE NXT Tapings

- As noted in the spoilers earlier, WWE taped 5 episodes of NXT last night from Full Sail University. Last night's tapings were loaded with more stars than usual including The Bella Twins, The Shield, Big E Langston, Chris Jericho, Cameron, Naomi, Kaitlyn, AJ Lee, Wade Barrett and others. WWE Hall of Famer Harley Race was also there looking at the talents.

Chris Jericho: "Had a great time at @WWENXT last night-what a facility! Killer fans too! Very good match w @WWEBrayWyatt…I predict he’ll be a champion soon"

Michael Cole: "Historic night @WWENXT. The stars of tomorrow are truly here! There are guys ready for major stardom on main roster right now. The best part about @WWENXT is the arena @FullSail and the nxt fans! It's truly your show. Thanks for the support each month!"

Jim Ross: "We taped five, one #NXT broadcasts tonight in just under four hours. Hard work, some outstanding matches, full house. Thanks to all. #WWE Really fun night at #NXT. Young talents stepping up. Post WM29 call ups intriguing."

Booker T Comments on HOF, JR Going Hunting with HBK

- Wade Barrett tweeted the following about his Intercontinental Title defense on Raw last night:

"Now THAT had to be one of the most incredible IC Title defenses of all time! My opponents were great. I was greater. #BarrettBarrage"

- Booker T tweeted the following on being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year:

"I guess you all no by now I'm going in the ( HALL OF FAME 2013 ) Just want to say there or no words but thanks to all me fans.#youdidit"

- Jim Ross noted on Twitter that he may be going hog hunting with Shawn Michaels at his Texas ranch in May, likely for an episode of HBK's hunting show.

Jim Ross Runs Down Top Three WM29 Matches

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has published a new blog entry on JrsBarbq.com discussing the top three matches at this year's WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view event.

"What really is the main event of WM29? From a marketing standpoint the answer is obvious, @TheRock defending the WWE Title against @JohnCena...without question and hands down. However, that doesn't mean that particular bout, which has the heavy responsibility of likely closing the near, four hour show, is dancing alone.

"Many fans are just as interested to see if 'The Streak' survives another year. Obviously, @CMPunk and @HeymanHustle feel that it won't and that Father Time and Punk's unique skill set can derail the most impressive accomplishment ever earned on the grandest stage of them all. Just curious, is being the man who finally beats the Undertaker at WrestleMania more of a lasting memory specifically to Punk's legacy than is his long, 400+ day WWE title reign?

"Others are intrigued to see if #TripleH can derail the PPV performing juggernaut Brock Lesnar in amatch driven by an intense, personal issue. Will Lesnar's MMA skills be too much for the Cerebral Assassin to handle? I am very anxious to see the strategies utilized by both men which obviously are going to be dictated by the stipulations of the match."

JR Blog: Swagger vs. Jericho, Austin Going to Mexico

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with a new blog on jrsbarbq.com. Here are some highlights:

- @steveaustinBSR about to head to Mexico to tape season three of CMT's Redneck Island and then onto his ranch in south Texas to start a new, reality show for CMT taped on the Broken Skull Ranch. Plus, the Texas Rattlesnake and devout JR's BBQ Sauce and Chipotle Ketchup user is about to step into the world of weekly podcasts. Stay tuned and follow Steve on Twitter for more info.

- Helluva match on Friday Night Smackdown between @RealJackSwagger and @IAmJericho. Jericho brings out the best in everyone he faces, which is a legit artform on the grappling canvas, and the former Division One, two sport athlete Swagger is getting better each week. Swagger's addition of veteran Zeb Colter to his presentation has been positive from the young Oklahoman's development.

- Still getting some lingering feedback regarding @CMPunk interrupting The Undertaker's tribute to the late, Paul Bearer Monday night. Again, I did not and do not have a problem with it especially considering that WWE honored the memory of my late friend throughout the night. For PB to be involved in another major, storyline leading into WrestleMania, would have thrilled him to no end. Villains do bad things and usually get their comeuppance in the end. Time will tell on the latter as it relates to Punk ending 'The Streak' which would be as big a defining moment as when the Ultimate Warrior beat Hulk Hogan at WM6, in the eyes of some.

- Was asked about if there was something that I could do over in my career what would it be. There aren't too many things because I'm a believer that things happen for a reason and we generally get what we have earned in life. However, I would love to have a 'do over' on my part of the call of @ShawnMichaels vs. @NatrBoyRicFlair bout. They deserved better from me at WM24. Perhaps I was TOO invested in the retirement match. However, no excuses just wish I had nailed it better.

CM Punk Plaque, Lesnar Featured, JR at Axxess

- WWE's shop website has a new $199 plaque to commemorate CM Punk's 434 day WWE Title reign. Only 434 plaques were produced and each one is signed by Punk and Paul Heyman.

- WWE will be turning the store at Met Life stadium into the WWE store for WrestleMania 29 that week. Jim Ross will be appearing there from 1-3pm on Friday, April 5th. Ross also revealed that he will be at WrestleMania Axxess that Saturday morning from 8-10am.

- Brock Lesnar is on the cover of the April edition of Muscle & Fitness magazine, talking about his fight with diverticulitis, his return to WWE and more.
