Chris Jericho on If He Ever Runs Into Hulk Hogan & Dream Match

Bay News 9 interviewed Chris Jericho. Here are some highlights.
If he runs into Hulk Hogan, who also lives in Tampa: “No, I actually run into the Incredible Hulk once in awhile – the big green guy. He chases me down the block sometimes, but I haven’t seen Hulk Hogan in years.”
If he has a dream match: “I really don’t think that way. I’ve kind of done everything that I’ve ever wanted to do in wrestling and kind of worked with everybody, from the biggest of the big to the smallest of the small. I go back to wrestling when I have time available because I still love it and it’s fun for me. I’d work with anybody. To me, I just enjoy doing a lot of different things and that’s the way it should be at this point in time, especially after 22 years of being in wrestling. You can’t just keep all of your eggs in that basket. Over the years I’ve kind of drifted away from that world.
“It gives me the chance to do other cool things, like Robot Combat League, which was an amazing project to be involved with that came across my desk and was so interesting and so unique. It’s something, like, you hear about an 8-foot-tall giant robot fighting show and it’s like, ‘how can I not want to be involved with that?’ So it blew my mind, actually, just the technology and how far advanced it was to have this show – the fact that it even existed and the fact that the robots move as fast as they do and fight as hard as they do and are as cool as they are.”

Mick Foley Lists Greatest Wrestlers, Rock’s Part-time Schedule, More

Mick Foley was interviewed on The Boomer and Carton Show. Here are some highlights.
If Hulk Hogan is the greatest of all time and should be viewed as the face of the sport: “Oh man, that’s a hard question because wrestling has got that show business element and the athletic element. It’s tough in any sport [to pick a great].
If not Hogan, who would compete with him: “You have Hogan, you have your class of five greatest drawing cards of all time. I’m putting it five randomly. Hogan’s definitely there, Rock, Austin, Andre and Bruno, as my top five. I think any one of those guys could argue why they were the top drawing card of their era.”
The Rock: “The Rock can come back and make more money for the company now personally then guys could in entire years. This is what I’ll say. The Rock came back for his first match in a few years when I had my big return match in 2004. My first coming out of retirement match. It’s tough to stay away. It’s not like baseball, where if you can’t get around the fastball you know your day is up. Guys are always convincing themselves usually well past their expiration date that they’ve still got it. At that time, and this is not a knock on him, but he seemed to be playing the Rock. He’d been in Hollywood and came back and he seemed to be playing the Rock. And now when I see him he is the Rock. He’s been successful enough, phenomenally successful, in movies so that he can more firmly embrace [the Rock's character].”
If wrestling is more popular now than it’s ever been: “I think internationally it’s more popular. There was that huge wave that I was fortunate to be a part of. I wasn’t at the top where Stone Cold and Austin were, but I was right below that top so I got to ride that wave. So that was a period where you go into an elementary school classroom and 10 out of 20 kids would be wearing wrestling shirts. Obviously WWE has had to react to MMA. For people who thought Mr. McMahon was crazy or horrible for talking about wrestling being entertainment, you have to think where wrestling would be now if they had kept trying to portray it as being the real deal when the real deal is on right after it.”
The types of people that are attracted to pro wrestling: “There’s two kinds of people that are driven to pro wrestling. There’s the phenomenally competitive types, like your Brock Lesnar’s and your Kurt Angle’s; people who able to thrive in the most thankless sport of all, which is amateur wrestling. Then, I was the reaction guy. I wanted to get reactions; it was never about being the best. It was about getting the best reactions.”
If there was one wrestler who made him want to get into the business: “Definitely. Jimmy Superfly Snuka. I was in the Garden. I’m being inducted in two nights into the WWE Hall of Fame, in Madison Square Garden, 30 years after I saw the Superfly take flight.”

Superstar Billy Graham Comments on The Rock Not Mentioning WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Superstar Billy Graham appeared as a guest on Busted Open Radio, hosted by Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca (Busted Open Radio airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sirius 94 and XM 208), where he addressed such topics as his strained relationship with WWE and Vince McMahon, Bruno Sammartino agreeing to enter the WWE Hall of Fame after having slamming the company's product for years, and even WWE Champion Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson not mentioning WWE during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last week. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

On his health: "I’m feeling very good thanks to modern medicine and the advances in medicine. I was in the hospital here for double pneumonia, pneumonia in each lung, and then I was admitted for the flu and then the flu turned into double pneumonia and the lungs got infected, then I got some fluid around the heart and they call that congestive heart failure. So I had four things going at the same time. They were very serious issues and thank god for modern medicine and antibiotics that rid the infection in my system. I was in dire straits. I spent five days at the world famous
Mayo Hospital here in Phoenix where I had my liver transplant, they're one of the worlds greatest hospitals, as I’m sure you know, along with John Hopkins in Baltimore. Long story short, I’m doing excellent. I’m in the gym training every day and I’m very happy about that.

"I was down for about thirty days after they released me from the shock to my system and of being so dehydrated and I was actually near death when they admitted me. I didn’t know this, but they had taken my wife aside and said, 'you know, your husband may not come out of this thing.' Which freaked her out, naturally. But thanks to modern medicine and the doctors being some of the world’s greatest physicians here at the Mayo Clinic in
Phoenix. They jumped right on everything and got all the IVs, three different types of antibiotics going at the same time and I pulled through.

"I think I have also good genes to help me survive and I’m very thankful and I’m really excited about being at Wrestlecon and everything; the weekend and then a few days before the weekend, actually coming in on the 3rd and doing some things. Visiting some local indie shows and stuff like that. I’m really excited about this trip. I think it’s going to be a great chance to meet a lot of new fans. This will be my last east coast run because travelling is just getting too hard for me; I’m out here in the desert, 3000 miles away and I’m kind of worn out from all the trips back east.

On making his last east coast appearance: "The east coast fans,
New York fans all the way up from Boston and Philly, there’s no fans like these folks, there’s no question about it. They really put their heart and their soul into the matches, they did anyway, but they’re really fantastic fans and I’m really looking forward to having a good time with the fans and being really fan friendly, which I’ve always actually been, and really excited about the event the overall event. It’s so nice to have an option for the fans to go to other the events that WWE is putting on, to have another option to go to, so its great for the fans as well.

On the WWE Hall of Fame: "Well, I sold my
HOF ring. I sold it on eBay because I was really having some liver problems from my liver transplant. The medication just skyrocketed for some reason and since the WWE or any other wrestling organization, you cant put all the heat on WWE, but pro wrestling, even territorial days never had health insurance for the performers. So you’re on your own as far as that goes. I had to get this expensive anti rejection medication for my liver, so I just put my ring up on eBay.

"I got over $10,000 for the ring from a fan in
England and that really helped me tremendously through this bad period of having to take extra amounts of anti liver rejection medication and everything. So that’s where the ring went. I would choose life any day over a ring on a finger, if you know what I mean as opposed to just hanging onto the ring. I would definitely choose to use the ring to help me live and continue my pursuit of happiness as opposed to simply wearing a ring on a finger and dying and being buried with the ring on my finger.

"I enjoyed the HOF and at the time I was unaware of and I really wasn’t paying attention to people like Pete Rose, who had been inducted, and with all of his income tax and betting on baseball and all of these things that he had done illegally, and I think he served about 5 months in federal penitentiary for income tax evasion and had to pay a $500,000 fine, but to induct somebody like that, even in the celebrity wing, which I’m fully aware of has nothing to do with the wrestlers, I really think that was a bad call. And my real problem these days are of course inducting Abdullah the Butcher where every match he has to cut himself or cut his opponent and he’s just obsessed with it and for a company that has a no blood policy to induct an Abdullah the Butcher, especially ahead of a Randy Macho Man Savage, is really deplorable. Maybe they’re saving Randy for next year or the year after because they’re running out of people to induct."

On Bruno Sammartino and the WWE Hall of Fame: "I don’t know if that’s the point or not because the point that I see and I put it in my new DVD Face to Face that’s going to be released at Wrestlecon in that whole weekend, that he has been so bitter against Vince for so many years and has hated anything to do with the WWE and the programming of the WWE that he has been so bitter against any connection with them for almost 30 years. For almost 30 years he’s been very outspoken against the WWE and to all of a sudden embrace the WWE and the programming that he now says is very family friendly and has changed, its just a very odd situation for me to accept the sincerity of his so called 'receiving only $5,000 to be inducted into the HOF.'

"I must be honest with you guys; I do have inside knowledge that I’ve revealed in my Face-to-Face DVD that he’s received a huge amount of money to go in. He was calling a personal friend of mine telling him that he was actually having trouble, now currently, deceiving his fans about only receiving $5,000 for going into the HOF when in fact he’s receiving a small fortune to go in. It’s very sad to have Bruno Sanmartino of all people who have always been honored and respected and held in such high esteem be so deceptive to his loyal fans. It’s really, I think, a major tragedy that all of a sudden he’s embraced [WWE].

"It’s just so bizarre for a man who had so much bitter hatred for Vince and the WWE to all of a sudden have a love affair with them. I’ve written and talked about that exclusively in my DVD Face to Face and gave some real insight into that. It just saddens me because I respected Bruno tremendously and I don’t blame him for taking what he has taken now at all but the sad part about it is he has to lie to his fans currently about his payoff to go into the WWE HOF. It’s really tragic. A man with such honor and dignity and respect to have to have done this. With that aside, the man himself I really respect Bruno to the ultimate.

"It’s like Moses parting the
Red Sea water it’s a tremendous turnaround. From having the uttermost hatred for Vince and the WWE to totally embracing them and just this admiration that he has now publicly for the WWE is bizarre. I don’t blame him at all for taking a huge payoff at all, congratulations on that, but I don’t understand between you guys, and you are very intelligent gentlemen, why wrestling out of all other sports, if Kobe Bryant got a bonus of like $10 million it would make the news. If LeBron James got $100 million, those types of things make the news.

"I don’t know why wrestling has always been so secretive, especially now that its been revealed that all of our matches are predetermined and everything in that nature is wide open to the fans, there’s no mystery anymore, why we still have to be secretive. I suggested in the beginning when Triple H was calling Bruno Sanmartino personally trying to get him to go into the HOF, I suggested to Bruno through our mutual friend to just say, 'well, look Vince, if you want me in your HOF give me $2 or $3 million, make it worth my time and Ill go in.’ Its strictly a money and business thing. That’s chump change to Vince McMahon.

"I don’t know the exact amount but it is huge money. From his confidence that he’s put in our mutual friend it is an absolutely enormous amount of money and I told my friend, 'why didn’t you just tell Bruno from day 1?' He says, 'Bruno says 'Triple H is really a nice guy, he's been calling me every week, twice a week trying to get me into the HOF and I just don’t want to go in.' This is going on and on and I told my friend, 'well why doesn’t Bruno step up and say give me a couple million to get me in and why doesn’t Vince step up to the plate and say 'well I want you in so bad, here, you’re worth two or three or four million to go in, lets get this thing done.' The fans would be happy. I would be happy to know that. I'd be happy for Bruno and his family and all of that, but to keep everything so secretive and to put the heat on Bruno, forcing Bruno to tell his fans that he’s only getting five grand is like a slap in the face to all of us.

On his relationship with Vince McMahon: Horrible right now. We’ve had a love hate relationship for years and I don’t know if its because I’ve been so independent but I’ve never come close to revealing the bitter hatred to Vince and the WWE. I mean, Bruno Sanmartino hates Vince McMahon with the uttermost hatred. I mean, he hates him like the venom of an
Arizona rattlesnake coming out of Vince’s mouth every time he utters a word he hates him so much. My relationship is severed forever with Vince. I can’t even remember what happened. We’ve had so many back and forth’s going on.

What happened after Bob Backlund won the title: That was the biggest mistake in the history of our business. I really believe it was the biggest mistake. I was ready to be a huge babyface. All we had to do was have Ivan Koloff, my tag team partner, turn on me. I was a natural babyface but he said he had a handshake deal with Backlund and he’s a man of his word, this is Vince Sr. talking, and despite the fact that Bob Backlund being a very nice young man who’s had to live with this 'howdy doody' tag on him, my god, to be a champion and be tagged as a howdy doody character is really sad to have to live with that.

That was a huge mistake for me to pass the baton back over to Backlund but I did as I was also instructed to. That was set up a full year before it actually went down. Vince Sr. brought me down to Ft. Lauderdale, his home, and along with Eddie Graham, he was still alive when I was wrestling in the Florida territory, to make this agreement that I would take the title from Bruno on April 30th 1977 and then give it to Bob Backlund on, I believe, February 20th of '78, almost a year later, and this was all agreed upon a full year ahead of when it actually happened. The thing with Sr was, he was always a man of his word and he felt that he had to keep his word even though it was a struggle, we had to support all the under card, all the matches. Once I gave that belt back over to Backlund, if he would have been left on his own to draw, it would have been horrible attendance records. We had to support that card underneath that kid with Andre the Giant, with Dusty and I, and all kinds of huge support to draw and make that thing work.

Why he never had a great feud with Backlund: He never had a real feud with anyone, never had a hot thing going on with anyone because he was not hot. He was not over. He was force fed down the fans throat and he didn’t have it. He didn’t have the charisma. On our return match in the Garden, when I gave the belt to Backlund, when I laid down for Backlund, on the return match you go back and look in the photo archives and remember when Backlund was wearing those long boxing robes in the beginning with a towel around his neck, that was his ring attire, and on the return match in Madison Square Garden, and

"I have all my tie dye on and ready to go, we're in the hallway with Vince Sr. and we're waiting for Backlund to walk out before we head for the ring, Backlund walks out of the locker room with this full length boxing robe on and the towel around his neck, and the boxing robe was all the way down to his shoelaces and of course, it is wrapped over and around the belt. Vince McMahon Sr says, 'Bobby, where is the belt? My god, the belt, where's the belt?' Because everything was about the belt. And he says, 'Vince, I have it underneath my robe.' And Vince says, 'But Bobby, the fans want to see the belt. My god its the belt.' Vince was having a breakdown backstage. And so Backlund’s answer to Vince Sr about wearing the black robe and covering up the belt, hiding the belt, was, 'but Vince, I like my robe.' That is a child like response.

On The Rock not mentioning WWE on The Tonight Show: "You're kidding?! Well there you go. Completely falling apart at the seams. The Rock's heart is not in the ring, it’s in the movies. We know where his heart is and I don’t blame him. I don’t blame the man for wanting to continue his movie career, but to most even mention WrestleMania on a program like that and to have the belt shows you the devaluation of the whole product. The whole product is suffering. The depth of the talent pool is so shallow it’s just pathetic. And who believes for one minute that; who's the Undertaker working with? [CM Punk} My buddy Punk; who on gods green earth believes the Undertaker's going to lose to CM Punk?"

On his influence in pro wrestling: "I'm very aware of that and it's a compliment. I remember the fans back then would tell me, 'do you know that Jesse Ventura's taking your stuff, trying to look just like you?' The fans at one point were very jealous about things like that. I said that’s ok because it’s a compliment to be that type of an influence on people that they want to be like you and look like you. It’s a great compliment to have that much influence on people. So I’ve never been jealous or have had a grudge against Jesse and the Hulkster. I’ve always thought it was a great compliment to me that they wanted to follow my persona and be influenced by my charismatic presence just like I was influenced by Muhammad Ali, he was my inspiration.

"I’ve always thought it was a great thing. I didn’t think it was so unusual because I was so different. I knew I was an entertainer and I always, to myself, knew that I was an entertainer in the ring as opposed to a more precision technician wrestler type like a Harley Race or even a Bob Backlund. My ambition was to entertain people. I saw pro wrestling from day one as entertainment and that’s what I sought after. I was very happy and proud to have influenced two of the best entertainers ever in professional wrestling,
Ventura and the Hulkster.

Hulk Hogan Wanted to Portray A Heel Character Against Ultimate Warrior

In a newly published interview with Fighting Spirit Magazine, TNA Wrestling Superstar Hulk Hogan claims that he had proposed to turn heel six years before he actually did in World Championship Wrestling, during the 1990 build-up to his all-babyface WWF Championship match against Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania VI.

"Vince and I were best friends, but when we talked about money, we were enemies," said Hogan. "So I went [to WCW] with the red and yellow, beat Ric Flair, and Hulkamania took off again. Then, creatively, I turned into a bad guy, which I always wanted to do in the WWF, but nobody wanted me to. I always said, 'I could be the best bad guy ever. Just let me do it', but no-one wanted me to be a bad guy.

"At Warrior's time, I really wanted to f--k him as a bad guy; I wanted to beat The Ultimate Warrior in
Toronto, but as a heel. I just thought it would be intense, and I would be the best bad guy ever. I could have done it, and then said, 'Forget the prayers and the vitamins, I did it for the money!' But it's just creative differences, and Vince knows what he's doing, believe me. I just wanted to try something different in the WWF."

When Hogan turned heel to form the New World Order with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash at Bash at the Beach on
July 7, 1996, he was very hesitant on the career-altering maneuver. Former WCW boss Eric Bischoff stated in his 2006 autobiography, Controversy Creates Cash, that Hogan was initially dismissive toward his idea of leaving the red and yellow behind to become a villain. Then shortly after Hall and Nash became a force on WCW programming, Hogan, who had not spoken to Bischoff in months, proposed that he be the third man in the group. Up until the pay-per-view event at Daytona Beach, Bischoff was unsure if Hogan would follow-through on the idea, and had Sting agree to join the New World Order in case "The Hulkster" changed his mind at the last minute.

The six-page interview with Hulk Hogan is in Issue 91 of FSM, available now from WH Smiths and Easons in the
UK and Ireland, and for iPhone/iPad and Android via FightingSpiritMagazine.co.uk.

Hulk Hogan Talks About Changing WrestleMania Match

In an interview with Fighting Spirit Magazine, Hulk Hogan sheds light on original plans for his match with The Rock at Wrestlemania X-8 in 2002.

“Out of respect, I go down there (to
Miami), and there’s me and The Rock and his dad Rocky Johnson, and Pat Patterson,” said Hogan. “The Rock starts telling me that we’re gonna lock up, and do this and do that, then start getting some heat on me, and so on. So he talked through the whole match, and I was listening. I respect him, and it kinda made sense, but I’d never done that before. Then they go, ‘Okay, let’s have the match here.’ I said, ‘Whoa! You’re talking about me taking bumps in this ring, with no people? I’ll get hurt, and if I fall wrong one time, then my career is over.’ I’ve got to have the energy of the crowd, so that when I go down, I go down to the mat hard. So instead, we just walked through the match."

Hogan was depicted as the heel going into the match due to his affiliation with the New World Order, and because of his acrimonious departure from WWE years prior. The audience, however, didn't care that Hogan was portrayed as a villain by WWE, instead cheering the wrestling icon and reigning a chorus of boos toward The Rock. Hogan says he had the match changed on the fly due to the crowd reaction.

“The whole issue I had was what if we got to Toronto, and this doesn’t work? So sure enough, when we go to Toronto, I give The Rock one big push, and the place explodes. Then I pushed him again, as we planned, and the place explodes again. [WWE] thought I was gonna get booed. Then I start chopping meat on him, and with every hit the place is going crazy. Then I did what was planned, blocking a punch, and as soon as he started hitting me came the boos.”

“I went down, and looked up and said, ‘You want me to fix this?’ And The Rock says, ‘Yeah, let’s fix it.’ I went, ‘OK, then listen to me.’ But it took him no time to get it right, because he is just so good in the ring. It took us three minutes to get it right, but if we’d done what we had practised, they’d have booed us out of the [expletive] building. I’m not saying I could do it in every instance, but The Rock is so good, we could do that. The Rock doesn’t usually talk about planning his matches, so somebody must have made him worry that I was too old and too slow, and that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the work-rate. But once he got in the ring with me, he knew I had a feel for it, and we got it right. That’s what I wanted to do with ‘Stone Cold’, and Bret Hart, too.”

Impact Wrestling Results - March 21, 2013

Impact Wrestling starts out with a picture of Bully Ray with the Aces & 8s logo behind him. A video plays showing Bully Ray sitting backstage. He says he will tell us how he pulled everything off. It took 9 months for this plan to come together. There was a Plan A. It didn’t go perfectly as Bully Ray lost to Jeff Hardy to go to Bound for Glory. He then had Plan B. That was marrying Brooke Hogan. He destroyed friendships and trusts. He destroyed a family… the Hogan family. Brooke and Hulk never been so low. As for Sting… he doesn’t care what he had to do to him to get over. Sit back and relax. Enjoy as Bully tells us how he became the most hated man in wrestling and the TNA World Champion.

The camera shows the Sears Centre Arena in
Chicago! The crowd is standing on their feet. They are cheering. Music hits and here comes Hulk Hogan! Hulk comes on the stage with one stretcher. He uses it on his left side as he walks down the ramp. He looks around at the fans while he continues to the ring. The crowd chants, “Hogan, Hogan, Hogan.” He grabs a mic and thanks them. He has been around a long time. They have been through hell and back. He never been fooled like this before. Aces & 8s fooled everyone in the crowd, but they also fooled the Hogan family, Sting, and everyone in TNA. When he thinks about the brawl last week… Aces rolled over all of them… they are a monster. It is not just a battle. It is about survival. The crowd continues to chant his name. Out of all of the men left laying… the four guys that lead the charge are the warriors. Hogan loves and respects them. They lead the pack in the back. We wants respect for these four men. First is Samoa Joe! The Impact Wrestling music hits and Samoa Joe comes to the ring. As he does, video showing the huge brawl last week airs. After him is Magnus! Magnus comes out and walks down the ramp. The next person doesn’t have a weak person in his body. That is the cyborg Kurt Angle! Angle walks out and comes to the ring. Finally, this man has been the leader for the last 9 months. He is our champion. He is Jeff Hardy! Jeff comes out and interacts with the fans from the ramp. He gets in the ring.

As Hulk thanks to them, he is talking to the rest of the warriors in the back who helped last week. He called these four stars to take Aces out and he needs the TNA World Title back to TNA. That leads him to Jeff. Jeff took this to new heights. With the shot that Jeff took at Lockdown with the hammer, can he still pull it off? Can he go for a rematch? Jeff gets on the mic and says he is. He is in bad shape as Bully took it to him, but we, the creatures, need it back. These men are ready. Let’s have a Four Way Match. Whoever wins will get a TNA World Title shot. Hulk gets on the mic. He said the last time he picked a #1 Contender… he made the biggest mistake of his life. He likes this idea. Kudos to Jeff. We will have a Fatal Four Way Match tonight. Hulk’s music hits and all four men look at each other.

Bully Ray is back on the screen. He says Plan A was easy. They came for the Bound for Glory Series. Bully says Roode gave them a great idea. Roode blamed James Storm as the leader of Aces & 8s. The group ran with it. They made everything point to Storm. It wasn’t him though. Ray had to win at No Surrender. He did and the group was finished with him. Ray planted it for Roode too. He knew Roode will not have Storm win. Roode helped Ray win. He has to give credit though. Jeff beat him. They had to come up with a new plan. That led right to Hulk.

Austin Aries and Bobby Roode are walking backstage with their dirty heels shirts.

The screen goes to Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez as they are walking backstage. The tag team match is next.

Music plays and here comes Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez. As they come to the ring, footage shows from last week where the same match was suppose to take place but Aces & 8s ruined it. After they are in the ring, the TNA Tag Team Champions come out on stage. They both have the titles around their waists.

Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez vs. Bobby Roode and Austin Aries (Champs) for the TNA Tag Team Titles

Roode and Chavo start out. Chavo goes all over the place while Roode tries to back away. They lock-up and Chavo takes Roode right down with an armlock. Roode gets up and changes it to apply the armlock on Chavo. Chavo goes down but he gets back up. He goes for the arm but Roode punches Chavo in the face. He whips him in the ropes, but Chavo ducks and then does a hurricanrona. He takes Roode to his corner and punches him in the face. Hernandez works on Roode as Chavo backs up. Chavo comes back and he tags Hernandez. Hernandez gets in and body slams Chavo right on Roode. Hernandez runs into the ropes and then does a splash. He covers but Roode kicks out. Both get up and Roode comes back. He kicks him in the gut and then takes Hernandez to his corner. He tags Aries. Aries gets in and works on Hernandez in the corner. He backs up and Roode works on him. Austin walks back and does a huge chop to Hernandez’s chest. He tags Roode back in. Roode kicks him in the gut. He tags Aries back in. They are in and they go for a double suplex, but Hernandez reverses it. He tags Chavo as Aries rolls out. Chavo does a dropkick to Roode and he rolls out of the ring. Aries walks over to regroup with his tag partner as Hernandez and Chavo are both in the ring.

The show returns and Aries tosses Chavo right out of the ring. Roode gets off the apron and smashes Chavo face first into the steel steps. Roode holds Chavo as Aries climbs the corner. He flies and elbows Chavo in the head. He brings Chavo in the ring and covers. the count stops. Aries gets Chavo up. Chavo tries to come back. He bounces off the ropes, but Aries knees him in the gut. He tags Roode. Roode enters and takes Chavo down and applies a headlock Chavo tries to come back. He gets to his feet and elbows his way out of it. Chavo reverses the closeline. Chavo runs to him, but Roode picks him up and puts him on the top. Chavo fights back and does a tornado DDT. Chavo crawls over and tags Hernandez. Roode tags Aries. Both enter and Hernandez takes Aries down with his shoulder. He then knocks Roode down as he enters. Hernandez takes Aries up and hits the military press. He goes to Roode in the corner. He attacks him and takes him out of the corner. Hernandez gets out of the ring and walks up the ramp. He turns around and runs. He jumps over the ropes and does a shoulder block to both stars. Aries and Roode are down. Hernandez takes Aries up for the Border Toss, but Roode kicks him in the gut. Roode runs away and then comes back, but Hernandez knocks him down with his shoulder. Hernandez goes back to Aries. He has him set up. He tags Chavo. They are going to do a closeline power bomb from the corner. Hernandez is knocked out of the ring by Aries. Chavo climbs down and hits Aries with the three amigos. He climbs the corner for the frog splash. Daniels and Kazarian enter the area. Daniels pushes Chavo off. Aries gets Chavo and rolls him up.

Winners and Still TNA Tag Team Champions: Bobby Roode and Austin Aries

A video plays showcasing what the X-Division is all about. It shows some of their biggest moves. Tonight, the X-Divisoin Evolution has arrived.

Kenny King is backstage with the X-Division Title over his shoulder. He points to the screen and says he should be mad about that. He isn’t though. He can take both stars tonight. That is why he is champion. He may need a 5 Hour Energy, but he will show why he is champion.

Winner and Still X-Division Champion: Kenny King

Video is shown from earlier today. Brooke Hogan enters the arena. The camera guy asks her if she talked to Bully. What about her dad? Brooke is not here to talk about either of them. She is here to do her job. She is the VP of the Knockouts. Brooke turns and walks away.

It’s time for another Bully Ray video. When Bully lost to Jeff, they needed a Plan B. You have to applaud Jeff for winning. He saw the perfect opportunity. Brooke! Joseph Parks was the bait. They needed him. They set everything up for Bound for Glory. It was Devon. Hulk turned his back on Devon. Ray knew what he was doing. He was going to be the saving grace. He needed to save TNA. Sting was behind him. Ray needed Hulk to shake his hand. Ray knew he had him. Since then, he signed Impact’s fate. He let Sting use the table… the table that made them lose at Bound for Glory. It then cost him. They attacked one by one. He went after the next one… Brooke. He got caught. He wanted to. He knew what he was doing. No one wants someone like Bully dating their daughter. The more Hulk said, “No,” the more Brooke said, “Yes.” He bought it.

Sting is standing outside of Hulk Hogan’s office. He walks toward the door and stares at it. He is about to open it.

Hulk Hogan is in his office talking to someone. He hands the person a paper and says it is timed right. The guy leaves and bumps into Sting. Sting gets in the office and says this is not about the title. He likes the Fatal Four Way Match. He wants Bully Ray. Hogan has had enough. He tells Sting to leave. Every time Sting is around, it goes bad. Sting needs to hide up in the rafters for a couple of years. He needs to go away. Sting says this is about revenge! He wants Bully. Sting leaves. Hogan mutters, “You’re not the only one.”

A video package plays showcasing the Gail Kim and Taryn Terrell story. Taryn attacked Gail. She is a referee though. She is on probation. Velvet Sky says she is calling it down the middle. Taryn doesn’t care if she loses her job.

Music hits and here comes Taryn Terrell. She gets in the ring. She grabs a mic. She says she knows she is on probation. She is a referee. She suppose to control the situation. She put her hands on Gail. She guesses she should get the consequences. Music hits and here comes Gail Kim. She gets in the ring and grabs the mic from her. Gail says Gail is the best woman wrestler that ever lived. Gail is the best Knockout. She created this division. Taryn wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Gail. Gail is going to call out Brooke so she can do something she should have done for awhile and that is to fire Taryn! Music hits and here comes Brooke. She walks down the ramp. She stands at the end with a mic. Brooke says this is a very tough decision to make. She thought long and hard. She loves Taryn. She has to be fair. Brooke sighs and then says she has to terminate her as a referee for the Knockouts. Gail starts laughing and smiling. Gail is happy. Brooke says she has some good news that might make everyone happy. She has decided to sign Taryn Terrell to the Knockout roster. She can get physical with anyone she wants. That includes Gail. Gail turns and Taryn runs and spears her to the mat. Gail rolls out of the ring. Taryn followers her. Brooke watches them as they go past the ramp. Bully Ray runs through the crowd. He gets in the ring and then gets on the stage. He meets with Brooke. Brooke turns and sees Bully. Bully raises his hand with the ring on it. He says something and she starts yelling and running away. She says she hates him. He says he loves her.

A Bully Ray video plays again. Ray says they have people that they felt like they were wronged. That’s Doc and Knux. Devon came there to help you… just like Garett Bischoff. They came to Hogan to ask them for help, but Hogan didn’t need them. Garett was on his side when he got rid of his old man. Hulk didn’t even help him to the next level. Hulk says it is not Garett’s time. Even Wes Brisco! His father and uncle helped train Hogan. Hulk made Wes beg. What about Anderson when he got taken out? Did Hulk check on him in anyway? No. Anderson joined because he has it out for Hulk. They formed a gang. They turned to one of his best friends… Taz. Who was that guy who hit Jeff in the leg with a ball peen hammer? It was Bully. As for D-Lo… he has access to the office. He had access to the big names. He wanted to embarrass Kurt Angle. He was the first guy who was picked. Wes Brisco used Kurt. He beat Garett. D-Lo came in to be a judge for Wes’ Gut Check Match. That’s how he came into the company. Once Ray’s title match was signed and done with… he made sure everyone would be unmasked. Except for one… and that was the final part of the plan that no one saw it coming.

Kurt Angle is backstage. He says this is the most important match for him in a year and a half. He hasn’t had the title since then. He wants to take down Aces. He needs to get that title.

Christy Hemme is in the ring as she introduces this next match. Matt Morgan comes out. He gets in the ring. Joseph Parks’ music plays and he comes to the ring.

Matt Morgan vs. Joseph Parks

The bell sounds. Matt walks forward and tells Parks to come close. They lock-up and Matt just pushes Parks right down. Parks gets back up. They go to lock-up again but Matt pushes Parks into the ropes. Parks comes back for a punch but Matt moves out of the way. Parks backs up in the corner as Matt walks toward him. Matt makes Parks flinch. He tries to embarrass him. Matt pushes Parks back. Parks comes back and pushes Matt. Matt stands right to Parks and punches him right in the gut. Parks falls. Matt gets him up and smashes his back with his forearm. Joseph falls. He crawls to the corner to get up. Morgan keeps him in the corner and elbows him in the face. He whips him in the corner sternum first and then closelines him in the back. Parks falls forward. Parks gets up in the corner. Matt goes to the opposite side. He runs but Parks moves. Matt eats the corner. Parks punches him multiple times. He runs into the ropes, but Matt hits him with the discus closeline. Matt brings Parks to the ropes and chokes him, rakes his face, and then stretches his arms back. Parks gets up. He turns and Matt goes for The Carbon Footprint, but Parks moves. Matt lands right on the top rope. Parks moves the top rope. Matt, in pain, gets off. Parks comes back with punches ad punches. Matt swings but misses. Parks goes into the ropes and knocks Matt right down. Parks climbs the corner. He jumps but Matt moves out of the way. Parks slowly gets up. He turns and Matt hits him with The Carbon Footprint.
 Winner: Matt Morgan

Video plays showing AJ Styles returning to the ring as he attacked Daniels and Kazarian. He then attacked James Storm. We need answers.

Jeff Hardy is walking backstage. The cameraman asks Jeff about getting the title back and his hands on Bully. Jeff wants this. If he can’t do it, then he knows the three other men can. That is why he made this match. Don’t out count the creatures though.

Mike Tenay is in the ring with a mic. Let’s get to the point. Let’s find out why. AJ Styles! AJ’s music plays and he comes in the ring. He meets Mike right in the face. Mike says he known AJ for 10 years. He called everyone of his matches in TNA. He considers him a friend. He needs to ask about his recent actions. AJ, what is going on? What about the rumors about drug abuse and alcohol abuse? AJ just stares. Taz stands up with a mic. He says Mike knows how to conduct an interview. Let a real guy do this though. Taz takes over. Taz says he sees AJ riding his mo-ped. He takes out an Aces & 8s vest. He says AJ can work at the bottom to get the group beers and such, as AJ is a drinker now, and he can work his way up. James Storm’s music plays and he comes out. He gets in the ring. He grabs a mic. He asks if this is the new AJ. AJ can’t even turn around and look at the guy who he punched in the face last week. AJ looks cool with his hood and leather jacket. The old AJ used to care what other people thought about it. You can be the new AJ, but he is the same old Storm. Storm gets right in AJ’s face. AJ can punch him again, but Storm can knock his teeth down his throat and say, “Sorry about your damn luck.” James gets in AJ’s face. He takes his hat off. AJ backs away. He goes through the ropes, turns around, and walks up the ramp. James gets on the mic and asks why… everyone wants to know. AJ’s music plays as James stares at him.

Bully Ray’s video plays again. Jeff Hardy was rolling as a wrestler. He was Wrestler of the Year last year. As for Bully, Hulk didn’t trust him. He suspended him. It just drove Brooke deeper into Ray’s arms. He used Sting to pull Hogan in. His daughter’s wedding is the perfect opportunity to get Hulk. Why didn’t he just reveal himself then? He didn’t want it to take it away from Taz. Ray took a pillar to the face. He had to take bumps to get somewhere. If Hulk saw that, then he would know Ray is on their side. Devon took his bumps when the time came. Ray manipulated the plan more. Brooke had all week to convince Hulk to make Ray #1 Contender. She did it. Ray played his biggest weakness. He played his ego. He wanted him in that match so bad. Sting was in the match though. Ray helped his “family.” For 9 months, Ray pulled off the biggest con in professional wrestling history. No one can stop them. No one will take his TNA World Title.

Christy Hemme is in the ring as she introduces this main event. Samoa Joe comes out first. He makes his way to the ring. Magnus comes out next. He walks down the ramp to the ring. Next, Kurt Angle comes through the curtain. He walks down the ramp and gets in the ring. Finally, Jeff Hardy’s music plays and he makes his way out. He interacts with the fans by the ramp. He then enters the ring.

Magnus turns it around and throws Jeff and Joe closelines him and then knocks Magnus down. Joe whips Kurt in the corner. He smashes him and then hits the enzuigiri. He does a snapmare and then kicks him in the back and chest. He drops the knee and covers. Kurt kicks out. Magnus is working on Jeff on the outside, but Jeff comes back as he pushes Magnus in the apron and then face first into the guard rail. Joe tosses Kurt outside. Magnus and Jeff both work on Kurt. All three are there. Joe runs and does a suicide dive. All three men fall. Joe is on his knees as he looks around. The crowd chants, “TNA, TNA, TNA.”
