WWE Compares John Cena to Superman, Goldust Falsely Advertised, Outside the Ring

This episode features Mick Foley visiting the WWE warehouse to shoot the cover of his new DVD. Foley noted that the warehouse was in an “undisclosed location,” and also commented on some of the items in the warehouse, including the steel chair that the Rock battered him with at The Royal Rumble in 1999.
- Goldust is falsely advertised by an organization by the name of Platte Nebraska for an appearance for this weekend. Goldust noted to Raj Giri of WrestlingInc that the misleading advertising “won’t be tolerated.”
- WWE published an article comparing John Cena to Superman. The article notes that many fans refer to him as “SuperCena” for his “seemingly superhuman strength and his ability to emerge victorious even when all of the chips are stacked against him.”

Cody Rhodes Talks Feud with Goldust, Rock & Lesnar, More

Chad Dukes of 106.7 The Fan DC / CBS Radio and Chaddukeswrestling.com interviewed Cody Rhodes. Here are some highlights.
Part time stars: “I love the fact that Brock [Lesnar], and the Rock, and [Chris] Jericho are here because they’re guaranteed. They’ve proven that they can go in the ring. For Wrestlemania this year, I think it’s wonderful. I think there wasn’t any room for that celebrity involvement. Who’s a bigger celebrity than the Rock? I think it’s wonderful that he’s returning to his roots, because he loves wrestling. He loves wrestling. He loves sports entertainment too, but he loves wrestling. I dig that about the Rock.
“But next year, at WrestleMania 30, it’s a personal goal … and I know Dolph (Ziggler) is the same way, Wade (Barrett) is probably the same way, that it’s not about bringing anyone back. Let these guys go home. They did everything they possibly could, let them go home. They’re going to go off into the sunset heroes and having had great matches, but new stars are moving forward. Sports entertainment has to evolve or it won’t continue.”
A feud with Goldust: “Yeah, it’ll happen. I just don’t know when and I don’t know where. He doesn’t know when and he doesn’t know where, but I know it’ll happen. There are certain things, and I don’t mean to sound cocky or braggadocios, but there are certain things I know have to happen while I work for this company, and that’s one of them.”

Changes to Pre-shows, Goldust Talks About Cody

Former WWE star Dustin "Goldust" Rhodes spoke to Newsday.com to promote an independent wrestling appearance. Goldust talked about his brother Cody Rhodes and said his one problem is his lack of patience:

"He doesn’t see the big picture sometimes. But he’s growing. Sometimes they (WWE) get a little hot and cold with Cody. I just wish they would make up their minds."

Dustin added that his brother is the only person left in the business that he wants to face at WrestleMania.

- We noted this weekend that WWE has plans to make the WrestleMania 29 pre-show more interactive with fan voting and other features. These changes will also go into affect for all future pay-per-view pre-shows. WWE officials feel that their YouTube pre-shows became too much of a packaged TV show so they're looking to change it. Regarding the length of the pre-show, they will still be 30 minutes except for WrestleMania 29 where it will be one hour.
